Valve, developers of the hit franchise Half-Life, haven’t been saying much lately, but a rumor is going around that is sure to disappoint a lot of fans – apparently, the last installment in the Half-Life 2 Episodes trilogy will not be released this year. It’s not known whether we’ll at least see some media beforehand either, but knowing Valve, they’ll probably keep it all a secret until the last moment.

Some interesting tidbits came out of Motorola's DEXT launch in Singapore today -- CNET Asia had a chance to sit down with Moto's Asia Pacific VP Spiro Nikolakopoulos, who said that the company would launch between 20 to 30 Android phones globally in 2010. Spiro also said that not every phone would make it to every market, so we're guessing the true number will be more like 10 if you count regional variants like the CLIQ and the DEXT as one model. Just by our count, Moto's already pretty close: off the tops of our heads we've heard of the Shadow, the

I wouldn’t necessarily say that charging my iPhone with the included sync cable is inconvenient, but I can definitely see the advantage of being able to just drop it on a table to top off the battery. And the Hug from Case-Mate uses Fulton Innovation’s eCoupled Wireless Power system to enable you to do just that.

Now since the iPhone’s battery isn’t removable or even accessible the Hug enables wireless charging via a plastic case. And because there’s an induction coil inside there and other

There was a time not all that long ago where Mad Catz was a brand associated with cheap gaming accessories that no one really cared all that much about. After the acquisition of Saitek, the company really turned things around. I had the pleasure of checking out their latest line of products, each one a quality piece of hardware. In fact, the first one I’m going to show you isn’t even related to gaming.

We’ve seen a number of solutions for controlling your living room PC and Mad Catz has their own. Under the Eclipse

This thing is, seriously, the highlight of CES for me (so far) this year. 3D TVs and eBook readers are fine, but there’s nothing amazing about them.
