Music visualizations can be cool to watch, but the Sound Scape concept takes it to a another level, using a built-in LED projector to delievr those visuals, which will match the music that is being played.

It’s limited though since it’s all based on nature. Don’t expect to see a gangsta movie when you’re playing rap. You’ll get something soothing instead. Like fluffy clouds and water. The controller can change tracks or volume of course, but it is just a concept for the moment.

Maybe one day soon it will

We'd love nothing more than to extol the merits of Sony's Alpha ultra-compact concept with an interchangeable lens -- which bears a striking resemblance at face value to Olympus and Panasonic's Micro Four Thirds standard -- but alas, the little device is hidden behind glass. Furthermore, all the Sony reps we managed to corner wouldn't answer our questions. Will the lenses be interchangeable with Sony's current Alpha DSLR line, or any of the MFT lenses? What's been cut from traditional Four Thirds models to accommodate for the drop in size? Radio

They screw you in life, so why not in death? Life is just the turn of some giant screw anyway. Screw it. The Screw coffin puts a new spin on coffins and burials. It works pretty much how you would think. Insert the body of your loved one into the large screw, screw it into the ground and you’re done.

One cool thing is that the lid is your grave marker. Not only would such a system save space in cemetaries, but it’s also bound to be more economical. I would imagine it’s also easier to exhume bodys as you just unscrew

If, like us, you've spent a fair amount of time in a kitchen cooking up a storm, then you're probably aware of one of the major drawbacks of major home-cooking... it generates a ton of waste. That's right -- up to 85 or 90 percent of a family's trash can be generated within the vicinity of the kitchen. Faltazi's concept kitchen should be interesting for just that reason -- Ekokook is designed to generate essentially zero waste. The solid waste -- things like glass -- are ground down using a hand-activated steel ball, and there's also a manual paper shredder

Other than that slick SideWinder gaming keyboard with the number pad that can be put on either side, none of the products from Microsoft typically stand out in my eyes as far as design goes. A new design concept over at Yanko Design has tipped up with the Microsoft brand.

The device is called the eVouse and it combines touch tech from a tablet computer, mouse tech for navigation, and digital pen for drawing with design software. The device is shaped like a “V” and when used as a mouse the front buttons are touch sensitive and glow when

It seems like eBook readers aren’t the only things getting the E-ink display technology. This concept watch – OXY also sports a pretty E-ink display. This unisex watch can display the usual stuff like time, date, calendar and alarm. It’s made from stainless steel, has colored leather strap combos, and the display is encased in mineral glass. The XKSALIA Typography that is used to display the time seems to go rather well with this design too. Do you think it’s cool enough to deserve being converted into a mass produced

Do you like finding new stuff and adventure? GPS seems to have taken the fun out of bringing the old compass and map on a hiking trip, don’t you think? Well, if your GPS device is spoiling all the fun, you could always pick up one of these conceptual digital compasses, and ditch your existing GPS device at home. You can configure the location that you want to go through in it via your computer (connected by USB), and the light around the ring in the compass will point in the general direction of your wanted location, going from red to

The DELL Froot is a Biodegradable Computer Concept without hardware for either keyboard or monitor. Both devices in the concept use projection technology to create a virtual keyboard and monitor visuals on a nearby surface.

As far as concepts go I think its a great idea but projection technology does have its draw backs at the moment and typing on hard surfaces is no fun for extended periods of time.

These aside I love the idea of a fully biodegradable computer and the portable

The Dell Froot concept while oddly named aims to be environmentally friendly and save the planet with two projectors. One for a virtual keyboard, and another for the monitor. Pretty great idea and a great space saver to boot.

It was designed by Pauline Carlos as part of a sustainability contest from Dell. The colorful case is constructed from biodegradable starch-based polymer and looks like fruit/froot. The technology is nearly there. Not quite, but nearly.

This one does lack a mouse, but once technology progresses,

The traditional fast food business model just never had a chance, now did it? Marcelo Coelho and Amit Zoran, a pair of whiz kids doing their thang over at MIT, have developed what very well may be the next major revolution in food preparation. It may also be the only machine that keeps you alive when theRobot Apocalypse goes down, but we'll try to stuff that to the rear of our minds for now. Essentially, the Cornucopia concept is a 3D printer that precisely mixes foods and flavors from a number of canisters in order to produce something that's edible (and
