Most people who are familiar with the Wacom name think of the line of consumer and artist focused graphics tablets that let users draw or write directly on their computer screen. Wacom also has a full line of pen-enabled displays that are aimed at use in medical and other markets.

The first installment of Google's fancy Nexus One design series focused on the sound quality of the device, and on the overall design. Well, part two is here now, and this time, we get to watch while HTC project manager Tomasz Hasinki and Android software engineer Romain Guy give us the goods on the Nexus One's OLED display and the interactive, 3D framework. I am a big fan of large displays in the living room and for my computer. However, there are uses for displays that have nothing to do with computer work or home theater. NEC has unveiled its latest large screen display that is aimed at the digital signage industry called the P701.

The huge screen measures 70-inches diagonally and supports full 1080p resolution. The contrast ratio is 2000:1 and the screen has an average brightness of 420 cd/m2. NEC integrates thermal tech to shut the display down if it overheats to prevent damage.

LG Display has shown off a 19 inch wide flexible e-paper display, which is almost as big as a piece of A3 paper, it is designed for an electronic newspaper, and gives the user the impression of reading a real newspaper.

The 19 inch flexible display measures a tiny 0.3 millimeters thick, and weighs in at just 130grams. The display is made from metal foil, which allows the e-paper display to return to its original shape.

We've harped about manufacturers constantly pushing nearly useless dynamic contrast numbers on us for so long that we half-expected this announcement to be about some phantom billion to one number.
