Those outdated billboards in Google Street View are not just outdated, but they’re an opportunity for Google, who has filed a patent entitled “Claiming Real Estate in Panoramic or 3D Mapping Environments for Advertising,”. The patent should allow them to cut out billboards shown in Street View and replace them with their own current ads.
Apparently this would be done by working with whoever owns the space. For instance a theater owner could keep the posters out front up to date at all times. We can’t think

The creative minds at Ion have recently announced a new product named ‘iType’. The product holds your iPhone firmly in place, and converts it into a mini workstation of sorts. Note the full QWERTY keyboard in all its glory. The idea here is to give iPhone users a full QWERTY keyboard to punch out notes, emails, whatever… and is clearly aimed at the power-user in need of a full keyboard to jam out emails at full speed.
As simple and easy-to-use as the iType looks, there are

As we told you yesterday, Google took a stand against the Chinese government by refusing to censor their search results. Well, it looks like some citizens are already in mourning.
Chinese citizens have been placing flowers on the Google logo as if it were a gravestone. And it just may be if the Chinese government decides they don’t like Google’s stance.

We’ve all played with and love (or hate) multitouch, and multitouch support probably one of the first things people ask when faced with touchscreen devices nowadays. So far multitouch has mostly been confined to mobile phones and similar gadgets (aside from a few notebooks here and there), but could it become an integral part of an office suite in the future? An article from the NY Times indicates that Apple has been busy working on a multitouch version of iWork, and this could mean that Apple could be envisioning its iSlate tablet

If you have an iPhone, it probably goes with you everywhere. But how many places do you take a cable to charge it? Since the iPhone is notorious for having less than spectacular battery life, it’s generally good to have a way to get extra juice to it when needed. Scosche was showing off their latest iPhone/iPod charge and sync cable at CES, which should be easy to keep on your person at all times.
The flipSYNC looks very much like an ordinary fob that you might have on your keychain. However, hidden within are two ends of a
