What do you get when you take a pretty decent Oppo $500 Blu-Ray player, strip off the black metal case, and then drop the entire thing (chassis and all) into a slightly fancier silver metal case with a different logo on it? Lexicon, apparently, thinks that you get a $3500 Blu-Ray player. After noticing some similarities between the front and back layouts of the Oppo BDP-83 and the Lexicon BD-30, Audioholics tore them both open to check and see what was going on inside:
As far as we could determine, Lexicon didn’t change a single

These days buying music and putting it on your MP3 player of choice is a pretty simple task. Unfortunately for some of the older generation, even that can seem like a daunting task. Instead they’d perhaps just prefer to listen to the radio. Well if you’re looking to bring them into the age of MP3 players without scaring them too much, here is an interesting device that I saw while roaming the floor of CES.
Myine has created a rather curious radio called the Abbee, which is essentially used to record music. At its very

[CES 2010] Quite a few MP3 players were released, but there was only one that has a transparent OLED display: the Samsung Ice Touch. It’s a 16GB MP3 Player, and other than getting some press, there’s no real reason (seeing your feet while changing tracks?) why the 2” screen is translucent – it’s working though. Parts of the body of the MP3 player are made of tempered glass, which quite unexpected for such a device. Among the improvements, Samsung touts its TouchWiz user interface, along with a better

Itoos has rolled out a fair number of portable media players in the past, and their latest would be the M3HDC that comes with a 3.6" TFT LCD with an aspect ratio of 16:9, featuring an e-book reader within, image browsing, an integrated FM radio, a microSD memory card slot and a TV out port, although don't expect it to handle full HD video playback. No idea on pricing or availability, but we do know it supports RM, RMVB, AVI and FLV video formats.
