Do you think the battery on your mobile phone is inadequate? Well, maybe in the future we’ll have phone like this one designed by designer Daizi Zheng, which runs on Coca-Cola. Its fuel cell generates electricity from carbohydrates in the Coke, or any other sugary liquid for that matter. This will ideally be a more eco-friendly solution to providing battery power, and will generate water and oxygen while the battery dies off. While battery technology certainly hasn’t progressed as far as we’d like, which is just yet, amagriom! The good news is that Nissan is working on a new type of battery cells. If the estimations are correct, then Nissan’s Leaf will be able to travel a good 200 miles on a single charge. Not too shabby eh?
